Ancoura

Ancoura

Residents live in three-bedroom townhouses. They are supported by a paid professional counselor or social worker who offers problem-solving assistance and meets with them on a weekly basis.

Each home has a team of visiting volun-teers that provides a “circle of friends” for the residents. They often assist residents with their daily tasks, such as shopping and cooking; go together for coffee and walks; visit museums, and engage in other social activities and community events. The friendships that develop between the residents and volunteers are a rich and vital aspect of Ancoura’s community.

Noelle's Gift

Noelle's Gift

What is Noelle's Gift
After attending Ottawa University , Noelle furthered her education at Nippissing Univiersity with her Bacherlor of Education, Noelle started her teaching career. While teaching, Noelle found that some students struggled at school with empty stomachs and without daily essentials. Noelle would often help these students not only with material items but by giving them emotional support and sharing with them her energy for life. We want to continue Noelle's legacy of giving and kindness. Ms. P (as her students called her ) often called her students "Smash Hits"
