Sunday sells out at the 2024 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend! Don’t miss out on Saturday’s 2K, 5K and 10K
April 10, 2024, Ottawa – The organizers of Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend recently announced the Tartan Ottawa International Marathon and the Ottawa Half Marathon presented by Desjardins held on Sunday, May 26 as SOLD OUT!
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Ottawa’s marathon and participants registered en masse for this milestone event as well as for the half marathon. It is the first time in several years the marathon has maxed capacity.

We can't wait to celebrate this historic occasion with them on race day!”
If you’re looking to take part in this years’ celebration Saturday, May 25’s 2K, 5K, and 10K are still open for registration. The family-friendly Ottawa 2K presented by ASICS Runkeeper is a great course to run, walk or roll – yes, strollers are welcome! The course travels down Elgin Street with a sea of spectators and then up the canal to a thrilling finish line.
The Ottawa 5K presented by ASICS Runkeeper is a great event for new runners, walkers, as well as seasoned pros. The course takes runners past Ottawa’s most notable landmarks, most amazing crowds and is known for its camaraderie and positivity from start to finish.
The Ottawa 10K presented by Otto’s Ottawa is home to the 2024 Canadian 10K Championships, attracting runners from around the world and from across the National Capital Region. This is a distinctly unique opportunity to run with world-class athletes on an exciting and memorable course. Afterwards, runners can catch their breath with a post-race beer courtesy of Kichesippi Beer Co.
These events are ideal for corporate teams or individual fundraisers who wish to give back to their community through the Desjardins Charity Challenge.
Every registrant of the 2K, 5K, and 10K receives the following:
