Scotiabank Ottawa Kids Marathon
**All information and race notes are subject to change. Course map reflects 2019 race route.**
We are changing up the Kids Marathon course! In 2020, we’ll have a new course layout at a new time on Saturday (instead of Sunday) so that you can watch your kids take-off from the start and cross the finish line.
The Scotiabank Ottawa Kids Marathon is a chance for kids to take part in the excitement of the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend. This special marathon starts weeks before race day, as young marathoners add kilometres by taking part in regular physical activities, such as running, soccer, basketball, and hockey. It all culminates on Saturday morning with a 1.2 km race to the finish.
Parents: Download the Scotiabank Ottawa Kids Marathon Information Package for parents, which includes all the information you need, plus a Tracker Sheet for marking down your child’s kilometres.
Elementary schools and kids run clubs: Run Ottawa has designed a 10-week program for kids between the ages of 6-12 that can be easily implemented in the classroom or outside of the classroom in an organized run club. Register for the program here.
