Beyond the Pale Beer Garden

All participants – over 20,000 – in the Tamarack Homes Ottawa International Marathon, the Ottawa Half Marathon presented by Desjardins, and the Ottawa 10K presented by Otto’s Ottawa receive a free beer, NA-beer, or soda courtesy of Beyond the Pale.

Tear off your beer ticket from your race bib to redeem a free beer or non-alcoholic beverage (available for participants in the 10K and longer distances).

L’Oréal Paris will present STAND UP on the main stage in the Festival Plaza (Marion Dewar Plaza, 110 Laurier Ave W.) and from the start line podium (110 Laurier Ave W.) on May 23 and May 24.

Celebrate with some good tunes

DJ Prosper will be providing the soundtrack to your celebrations all weekend! DJ Prosper is an Ottawa-based hip-hop artist turned DJ with over 20 years experience. He has worked as hype man for R&B legend Ashanti, co-founded the hip-hop group GPM with his wife Melissa over 10 years ago, and is the in-arena DJ for the NHL’s Ottawa Senators.

DJ del Pilar will be your start line DJ for the weekend! DJ del Pilar, also known as Tasha Coldevin — is a queer, Black and Latina DJ, vocalist, event producer, and a true force in Ottawa’s music and arts scene. A longtime performer and co-founder of Ottawa’s longest-running queer dance party, Homo Phono, DJ del Pilar has been creating inclusive, accessible dance floors for queer and trans communities for nearly a decade.

Mathieu Bouffard aka DJMATB will be your finish line DJ this year! He has been DJing at major sporting events for over 16 years. His experience spans world-class events including 24h Tremblant, the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup at Mont-Sainte-Anne, FIS Alpine Ski World Cup in Tremblant, Ironman 70.3 Mont-Tremblant, Ironman Ottawa, Cap Challenge triathlons in Québec and Montréal, the Aerials World Cup in Québec, and the World Paratriathlon Series in Montréal, among many others. DJMATB participated in the 2018 Ottawa Half Marathon and is known for keeping the energy high and the crowd engaged!

Festival Plaza & Beyond the Pale Beer Garden will also have an Info Kiosk, a water refilling station, various food trucks and picnic tables. A great spot to have a bite to eat and refuel while you’re waiting for your runner or after you’ve completed your event. 

Watch the Canadian 10K Championships and the Tamarack Homes Ottawa International Marathon live broadcasts on the big screen at the stage, and afterwards celebrate cheer on the Canadian 10K Championship and Tartan Ottawa International Marathon elite athletes as they receive their medals on the Festival Plaza & Beyond the Pale Beer Garden stage!
