Parking is free at Ottawa City Hall from Friday, May 26 at 6:00 p.m. to Sunday, May 28 at 9:00 p.m., provided you keep your ticket stating you entered and are exiting within that window. If you misplace your ticket, you’ll have to pay regular parking fees.

Where do the races start?

All Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend start lines are located in front of Ottawa City Hall, 110 Laurier Ave W. We recommend that you arrive at the race site at least 40 minutes prior to your scheduled start time. A schedule of events, including Saturday and Sunday races, shuttle bus schedule, and expo hours can be found by following this link.

When is the last day to register online for a race?

Online registration will close May 22 at 11:59 pm, but you can register in person at the Expo on a first come first serve basis.

Can I still change my race distance?

The last day to change your distance online has passed, but you can go in person to the Expo and visit the Race Roster kiosk to request a distance change. Accommodation to change race distance is not guaranteed. Please note that transfer fees ($10 + taxes + processing fees) will apply.

I want to transfer my bib to another runner – is it too late?

The last day to transfer online has passed, but you can transfer your bib and registration to another runner in person at the Race Roster desk at the Expo. Please note that the $20 transfer fee will still apply.

What do I need to pick up my Race Kit?

You need your bring your bib number plus a piece of identification or copy of your registration confirmation email (on a mobile device is fine) to the Expo.

Where do I find my bib number?

You can find your bib by going to 2023 Race Roster Bib Lookup. Select your race and search for your number using your last name. Please note that if you registered after May 12th, your bib number will not be available online until May 21st.

My name isn’t coming up on the 2023 Race Roster Bib Lookup?

Try to reverse your first name and last name (ie, John Smith, try Smith John) to find your bib number. This would have been human error when you registered, and at this time we cannot reprint bibs.

Can someone else pick up my Race Kit?

YES! You can have a friend or family member pick up your race kit as long as they present your bib number AND registration confirmation email. Pickup for others is capped at three race kits unless you have registered using the same address.

Is the Tartan Ottawa International Marathon still certified for BQ?

Yes, even with the route changes. The new course is measured as per the guidelines set out by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).

How can I volunteer? Is there an age restriction?

There are still open spots to register to volunteer in many areas, including in baggage check, at the start line, in the recovery area and more. This is a great opportunity for students 14 and older looking to fulfill the Community Involvement Activities required for Ontario Secondary School Diplomas.

Can I get a refund or defer my registration until next year?

No, regretfully, there are no refunds, and we cannot defer your registration until next year.
