The Scotiabank Charity Challenge

Every step helps your community.

Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend 2021 will mark the second year in which runners of all ages and abilities will take to the streets, paths, trails, and treadmills to participate in Canada’s largest virtual running event! In 2020, participants raised $419,141 for local charities! An incredible feat considering the circumstances in 2020.

It has been a difficult year for many, including the frontline organizations and charities in our community and they need your support now more than ever. The Scotiabank Charity Challenge is a way for YOU to help them. This program unites the spirit of runners and walkers with a free fundraising platform, in order to raise funds for their charities of choice which enables charities to support and develop much needed programs in order to help hundreds of thousands of people (and animals!) in need.

Scotiabank’s generous support covers all administrative fees and those associated with the online fundraising tools. This means 100% of the funds raised through the Scotiabank Charity Challenge at Tamarack Ottawa Virtual Race Weekend goes directly to the charities! You have from now until May 31, 2021 to raise as much money as possible!

Each dollar raised will help the official charity of your choice to win one of nine cash prizes totalling $24,750! Among official charities, Scotiabank will award nine cash prizes to those who stand out in the following categories:

1. Official Charity with the largest total dollars raised
