Transit
Parking can be in short supply downtown during the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend Wherever possible, participants are encouraged to take the bus, bike or walk to the Expo and their race.
Buses
Ottawa’s local transportation is OC Transpo which serves visitors and residents from Orleans to Kanata, downtown to the south end, and Ottawa’s new O-Train Confederation Line runs east and west through downtown. Both the expo and the race start lines are easily accessible by foot from stops on the Confederation Line, as well as by some buses.

Runners who are coming to Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend from Gatineau can get to the expo and startline by taking the STO.

Bikes
Want to beat the traffic and packed buses? Take your bike! The expo and the races are served by multiple bike routes, including one along Ottawa’s scenic Rideau Canal. Check out the NCC’s cycling page for a complete list of bike paths.
You can even leave your bike in our supervised bike parking area while you run your race!
Remember: Road closures throughout the weekend may mean that some bus and bike routes are disrupted. Make sure to plan ahead by consulting the full list of road closures and times.
For 2019, Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend has partnered with the rideshare app Lyft to provide runners with a quick and easy way to get to and from the startline. Look for the Lyft pickup locations near Ottawa City Hall.
