Health-boosting Berry Crumble

Berries help to fight free radicals with their health-boosting nutrients. They are packed with vitamins and minerals, help to regulate heart rate and blood pressure and contain antioxidants which help to protect your cells from oxidative stress, reducing the risk of tissue degeneration from inflammation. This healthy and delicious berry crumble can be eaten any time of day as a snack, breakfast or even desert!

Ingredients:

3 cups frozen berries

Cinnamon to taste

2tbs chia seeds

1 cup oat flour 

1.5 cups oats 

3 tbs hemp hearts

1/4 cup ground flax seed

2/3 cup apple sauce 

1/4 cup maple syrup 

3 tbsp avocado or coconut oil 

1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions:

Place 3 cups of frozen berries in the bottom of a 9×13 pan. 

Sprinkle and toss with cinnamon and 2 tbs of chia seeds.

In a bowl mix: 

  • 1 cup oat flour 
  • 1.5 cups oats 
  • 3 tbsp hemp hearts
  • 1/4 cup ground flax seed
  • 2/3 cup apple sauce 
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup 
  • 3 tbsp avocado or coconut oil 
  • 1 tsp cinnamon 

Mix & crumble on top of the berries in pan.

Bake for approx 20 min at 375. 

Allow to sit for 10 min before serving.
