Hawksley Workman to headline new Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend concert series
May 8, 2014 (Ottawa) – The 48,000 runners participating in the 2014 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend will have a new way to celebrate their training and racing accomplishments this year.
Organizers of the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend – one of Ottawa’s largest festivals – are pleased to announce the Celebration concert series featuring some of Canada’s top artists, including singer-songwriters Jim Bryson and Hawksley Workman.
The free concerts will be open to the community at large and will take place in the heart of Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend festivities at Ottawa City Hall’s Festival Plaza. Lowertown Brewery will be on location for all three days hosting their food and beer garden.

The 2014 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend will welcome 48,000 participants in six races, including the Scotiabank Ottawa Marathon, the Scotiabank Half-Marathon, the Lowertown Brewery Ottawa 10K, the HTG Sports 5K, the 2K and Scotiabank Kids Marathon. The Scotiabank Ottawa Marathon and Ottawa 10K are both designated Silver Label IAAF events by the International Amateur Athletic Federation (IAAF).
