Richmond Road Races
Run fast or freeze!
Thank you to everyone for your support of our Richmond Road Races. Once again both races are now sold-out.
Starting Monday morning at 10am a limited number of race entries will be available for sale online through Run Ottawa’s Yellow Bib Program.
As a Yellow Bibber, you will receive entry into the event and timing.
Due to our supply limitations, we are not able to include a shirt or medal with your registration.
Should a medal or shirt be available at the end of the event, we will be happy to provide.
Yellow Bibs will also be sold at our Race Kit Pick up days and if still available, on race day starting at 9am.
Please note we can only accept cash at all locations.
Entry Fees include tax – Adults $60 Youth $30…$10/$5 Run Ottawa Membership discounts will still apply.
Run Ottawa kicks off 2019 with the 37th edition of the Richmond Road Races, presented by our friends at Bushtukah. We hope you’ll join us for your choice of a 5K and 10K to start the New Year.
If you have ever run this event, you’ll know why it’s an annual favourite, with a friendly, warm atmosphere and a post-race social, featuring awards, draw prizes and a lunch with all the fixins! It’s the perfect opportunity to catch up with old running friends, and make some new ones.
All runners will receive long-sleeve shirts and an icy cool medal!

Date; Sunday, January 13th
Location: South Carleton High School, 3673 McBean St. Richmond, On.
Start times: 10K – 10am 5K- 10:10am
5K: This course is out and back, running south on McBean Street to Dobson Lane where runners will be directed east on Dobson to a turnaround point where they will be sent back to the finish line in front of the school.
10K: This race starts off with a 1K loop on roads that surround the school, then runners turn onto McBean Street and sent on a route that runs on mostly paved roads south of Richmond via Dobson and McCordick Roads. The final 4K, runners head north on Century Road and McBean Street into the finish.
Please note: Athletes competing with Wheelchair – This race takes place in January and the course commonly has snow and ice throughout, as well as sections with gravel road. It also takes place on a partially closed road. These conditions make this event unsafe for wheelchair participation.
Online registration is now open and will close on January 10th at midnight.
Run Ottawa Members will receive $10 discount. Youth member $5 discount.

Chip timing will be provided by Sportstats. Full results will be posted on the Sportstats website post-race.
Race Kit Pick-Up
If you’d like to pick-up your bib/shirt in advance we have two opportunities for you to do so. Please note at this time there will be no on-site registration.

Race Day Info
Kit pick up: Open 8:30am to 9:45am
South Carleton High School Cafeteria – please note at this time there will be no race day registration.
Parking: Available within the lots of South Carleton High School. Free
Baggage Check: For this event there is no race day baggage check. Gear can be kept inside the cafeteria.
Water Station: A water station will be available on the 10K course at about the 5K mark.
Washrooms: Available within South Carleton High School. Comfort stations will be available at the 6k mark.
First Aid: Will be provided by St. John Ambulance.
Babysitting: For this event we do provide a babysitting service. Should you like to utilize please contact Joe Duvall firstname.lastname@example.org

Awards: In addition to the lunch, within the post-race social, awards will be provided to the following:
Top finisher prizes will be given out to the first three male and female finishers in each event. Please note overall winners are not eligible for age category prizes.
There will be no age category awards, however, there will be a large number of draw prizes courtesy of Run Ottawa, Bushtukah and Zizu.
