Our charity partner for this year’s Weekend 5K and Kids 1K Series is OCISO (Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization). OCISO supports immigrants as they build new lives in Canada by offering creative, responsive programs that are culturally and linguistically appropriate. Through partnerships grounded in mutual respect, the organization helps build community while fostering healthy, inclusive spaces for dialogue and healing. Location: Dominion Arboretum
- Kids 1K 8:30am
- Youth 5K 9:00am
- Adult 5K 9:00am
The start line for Saturday morning events are located near the NCC Scenic Driveway near Parking Lot # 1. Please note that the 5K has a different start line from the 1K. Volunteers and staff will be onsite to help direct participants from the check-in tent. Please give yourself at least 10 minutes to walk from your vehicle to the event site.
Due to the steep hills, strollers are not recommended for this course.
Parking info:
On Saturday, August 8, free parking is available near the Tropical Greenhouse off of Maple Drive, about a 10-minute walk from the start line area. Paid parking is also available at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum lot (901 Prince of Wales Dr). Do not park on the grass or in undesignated areas. Please give yourself at least 10 minutes to walk from your vehicle to the event site.
The Dominion Arboretum is a short walk from the Carling O-train station for participants using public transportation.
