Bring your festive spirit and hit the streets at The Emerald Mile, a brand new Run Ottawa event taking place alongside the city’s first St. Patrick’s Day Parade since 2019, on March 7.

This festive morning features a one mile run for all levels of experience, plus a kids race that gives young runners a chance to join the fun! The kids race will follow an out and back course starting and finishing near the Supreme Court of Canada, making it easy for families to cheer them on.

The one mile course offers a truly unique experience, following the parade route through the heart of the capital. Starting at the Supreme Court of Canada on Wellington Street, the route passes in front of Parliament Hill, crosses the Rideau Canal, continues along Sussex Drive, turns onto York Street, and finishes in the vibrant ByWard Market. It’s your chance to run some of Ottawa’s most iconic streets in the middle of a city wide celebration!

Whether you are looking for a fun race, a family friendly outing, or a memorable way to spend your Saturday, The Emerald Mile offers something for everyone.

Come dressed in green, bring your festive spirit, and help launch this new tradition!

FEES:

  • Mile Adult: $33.75 + HST
  • Mile Youth (ages 12-24): $16.88 + HST
  • Kids 800m (ages 5-12): $16.88 + HST
