I began running 26 years ago. Over those 26 years I have run many 5 km events, more 10 km events than I could shake a stick at as well as several 13.1 mile events (10 to be exact) and I did a full marathon in Toronto back in 2007. I love running! I do move around a fair bit, work transfers happen every 6 to 10 years. I began 2017 with a huge goal to drop a few pounds and work towards another full marathon. On September 1st, 2017 I tipped the scales at 250 lbs. With the awesome encouragement and support of Good Life Fitness I have dropped over 50 lbs and could easily say I am in the best shape of my life. The 2019 Scotiabank Ottawa Marathon at Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend is the moment I have been striving for for several months, I can't wait!
