Run the 2015 Philadelphia Marathon with Run Ottawa
This November is your chance to run through the city known for Rocky, the Liberty Bell and cheesesteak sandwiches – definitely a top ten post-marathon snack.
That’s right, Run Ottawa is organizing a bus trip to the City of Brotherly of Love for the 2015 Philadelphia Race Weekend, with the main event being the Philadelphia Marathon on Sunday November 22nd.
“We’re really excited about this trip,” said Joe Du Vall, Event Operations Manager at Run Ottawa. “We love to offer people the chance to experience these well-known, destination marathons, while getting to relax and enjoy some camaraderie on the post-race drive home.”
Past race trips organized by Run Ottawa include the Philadelphia Marathon in 2011, the Marine Corp Marathon in Washington, and the Around the Bay Road Race in Hamilton.
The bus will leave Ottawa on the morning of Friday November the 20th and return on Monday November the 23rd, giving runners plenty of time to get in their running and some sightseeing around this historic city.
The price for Run Ottawa members is $460 and non-members is $485. Included in the price is bus transportation there and back, plus three nights of accommodation (double occupancy). Note that race registration is not included. Runners must register for their races separately!
Runners can register for the bus trip online. Or for more information about the trip, please email Joe Du Vall at joe@runottawa.ca.
To make the trip happen, a minimum of 35 runners must register before the end of September, while the maximum number of people the bus can hold is 50.
Time to cue up Eye of the Tiger, embrace that inner Rocky, and get training for Philly today!
