Krista Duchene is an elite distance runner. This past April she ran a smashing PB of 2:32:06 at the Rotterdam Marathon, then finished first overall among women at the Scotiabank Vancouver Half-Marathon in June, and fourth overall among women at the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon in October. Most recently she competed as a member of Canada’s national team at the fabled Chiba Ekidan event in Tokyo, Japan – a race comprised of six legs (5K, 5K, 10K, 5K, 10K, 7.195K) that add up to the distance of a single marathon. Pretty cool.

Oh, and did we mention that Krista also happens to be a dedicated mother of three, a dietician, a super nice person, and a source of inspiration for women and men everywhere who are striving to find balance and achieve excellence in all areas of their lives? Given all the hats she wears, it perhaps won’t come as a surprise that her highly readable personal blog, Krista Duchene Running, features a nourishing mix of training info, race stories, healthy recipes and reflections on family, faith and teamwork. It’s dynamic, balanced and energetic – just like Krista. To check out Krista’s awesome blog, click here.
