Walk for Boston to be held Monday, April 22, 1:00pm
Ottawa, April 18, 2013 – Media and the general public are invited to join David Jacobson, the US Ambassador to Canada, John Halvorsen, Phil Marsh and members of the running community as they walk from Parliament Hill to the US Embassy in a show of solidarity with the Boston community.

What: | Walk from Parliament Hill to US Embassy (Wellington Street to MacKenzie); community invited to wear blue and gold – the official colours of the Boston Marathon and to bring used running shoes to donate to the Ottawa Mission. |

Why: | John Halvorsen and Phil Marsh are organizing the walk as a show of solidarity with the Boston community and a celebration of the human spirit. |
