Scotiabank Ottawa Marathon course record holders returning to Ottawa on May 27

The 2018 Scotiabank Ottawa Marathon is shaping up to be an interesting race with course record holders Yemane Tsegay and Tigist Tufa, both of Ethiopia, returning to Ottawa on May 27, 2018 to defend their course records.

Tufa who set the course record of 2:24:31 in 2014 went on to win the 2015 London Marathon to end four years of Kenyan domination.

Tsegay’s 2014 course record of 2:06:54 also broke the Canadian soil record that year. He came in 2nd at the 2015 Boston Marathon.

We look forward to seeing what 2018 brings for these two formidable competitors.
