An update on fulfillment from Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend’s Race Director
Hello Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend family,
I wanted to follow up on my Race Director’s email from last week with a couple of updates in response to the Province of Ontario’s enhanced protection measures announced on Friday, April 17 in an effort to reduce the rapidly escalating number of COVID-19 cases we have at hand.
As of late last week, we had started the fulfillment process that was to see your Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend participant packages delivered to you as soon as possible. While we are going to be working diligently to make this happen we will be putting in place new measures to make sure our team is, above all else, safe as they work through this process.
This will likely mean a slightly slower rollout from us to your mailbox and we hope that this delay will be as short as possible. We know that you’re keen to receive this year’s awesome medal and beautiful shirts, if you added one to your registration, but we’re also certain that you share our concerns around health and safety.
On a brighter note, we firmly believe that being outside enjoying the fresh air is one of the joys and privileges we still have at our disposal. Taking every precaution while you’re outside walking or running should be front of mind and remember to choose a safe route for your virtual race day. Â
With continued guidance from public health officials at all levels, we are, for now, maintaining our event window from May 1 to May 31. Should things change we will update you as soon as possible.
From all of us at Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend we hope the next few weeks are full of good health, fresh air, and resolve to push past this current surge so we can all be in person and ready to celebrate when the time is eventually right!
