Avez-vous besoin de plus ou moins de glucides ? Ou de glucides diff\u00e9rents ? Il est parfois difficile de savoir, avec toute l\u2019information qui se trouve dans l\u2019univers. Nous, nous avons la chance de pouvoir poser nos questions \u00e0 Beth Mansfield, sp\u00e9cialiste de la nutrition sportive, nutritionniste agr\u00e9\u00e9e et physiologiste de l\u2019exercice certifi\u00e9e chez Peak Performance, \u00e0 Ottawa.<\/p>\n<p>Vous avez une question pour Beth ? Chaque mois nous allons tirer une ou deux questions auxquelles Beth donnera une r\u00e9ponse.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La question de ce mois-ci :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Au cours du mois pass\u00e9 j\u2019ai essay\u00e9 la di\u00e8te Pal\u00e9o. J\u2019ai mang\u00e9 beaucoup de fruits, de l\u00e9gumes, de noix, de viande et de poisson, et je me sens tout \u00e0 fait bien jusqu\u2019\u00e0 maintenant. Mais, \u00e0 mesure que je commence \u00e0 augmenter mon kilom\u00e9trage alors que je m\u2019entra\u00eene en vue du Marathon d\u2019Ottawa, je me demande si je devrais m\u2019en tenir \u00e0 cette di\u00e8te ? L\u2019an dernier, j\u2019ai consomm\u00e9 des tonnes de p\u00e2tes et de bagels pendant la p\u00e9riode qui pr\u00e9c\u00e9dait le marathon et, maintenant, j\u2019ai compl\u00e8tement abandonn\u00e9 tout \u00e7a.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Beth r\u00e9pond :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La di\u00e8te Pal\u00e9o peut vous donner assez de carburant pour maintenir votre entra\u00eenement au marathon, mais notez que c\u2019est une di\u00e8te \u00e0 forte volume ; c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire que vous devez manger beaucoup de l\u00e9gumes et de fruits pour absorber assez de glucides DANS vos muscles, pour courir vite et loin. Ces types d\u2019aliments tir\u00e9s de plantes ont tendance \u00e0 vous remplir l\u2019estomac et \u00e0 tuer votre faim AVANT que vous ayez suffisamment fait le plein. Il peut vous falloir quelques jours d\u2019entra\u00eenement avec de r\u00e9aliser que nous n\u2019avez pas pris assez de combustible \u2013 et vous allez le savoir parce que votre performance d\u2019endurance sera affect\u00e9e n\u00e9gativement et que m\u00eame des exercices faciles vont sembler durs \u00e0 faire.<\/p>\n<p>Je vous recommanderais donc d\u2019apporter quelques l\u00e9gers ajustements \u00e0 votre r\u00e9gime pal\u00e9olithique en incluant quelques aliments anachroniques avant, pendant et apr\u00e8s votre entra\u00eenement. Commencez par inclure des fruits secs et\/ou des fruits \u00e0 indice glyc\u00e9mique \u00e9lev\u00e9 dans votre collation pr\u00e9alable \u00e0 l\u2019exercice, puis ajoutez des patates (r\u00f4ties, pur\u00e9e, au four ou bouillies) \u00e0 vos repas d\u2019apr\u00e8s l\u2019exercice. Si vous pr\u00e9voyez utiliser des breuvages et des gels sportifs pendant votre course, vous devriez alors vous y habituer dans vos sessions d\u2019entra\u00eenement sur de plus longues distances.
