Ausome Canada

Ausome is the only organization in Ottawa dedicated to enriching the lives of families living with autism through sport/recreation. 1 in 68 children in our community have autism. So they can be healthy and active, Ausome provides programs like basketball, soccer, yoga, and water polo; Ausome provides training to coaches, caregivers and teachers who support kids with autism; and, Ausome teaches kids to run, jump and throw so they can play along with their peers.

Our Foundation is focused on awareness, research and support for individuals with Aniridia, a rare genetic disease that effects eye development. Aniridics face a spectrum of vision impairing conditions and ocular degeneration resulting in blindness. Few treatment options are available and support systems are inadequate. Our hope is that advanced research will improve the quality of life for Aniridics helping them to successfully manage this complex disease, and eventually lead us to a cure.
