Affiliate Running Clubs

Ottawa is home to one of the most active running scenes in Canada. The Run Ottawa Affiliate Run Club program is a way for existing run clubs, crews or organizations to partner with Run Ottawa, so that our members can fulfill their training, coaching or adventure needs. If you’d like more information about how to get your club listed, please contact [email protected].

Iron North Studio

Iron North Studio is a multi-discipline endurance gym located in Ottawa’s Hintonburg neighbourhood, offering paid and free run programs and triathlon training as well as cycling, strength, and yoga classes. Join us for our Winter, Spring or Fall Run Clubs supporting Around the Bay Road Race, Ottawa Race Weekend, and Army Run or for free long runs each Sunday with our certified run coaches. Iron North Studio was created through the idea that exploring and taking part in alternative forms of exercise to compliment your regular training would increase your performance in your chosen sport. As multidiscipline athletes, we regularly follow our long runs with a yoga practice or finish a tough ride with a quick strength circuit.

K2J Fitness

K2J Fitness is a running group based in Barrhaven, just a weekend run away from the Parliament Buildings in downtown Ottawa. We provide coaching which includes schedules and group speed work geared toward major spring and fall marathons and half marathons including the Boston Marathon, Ottawa Race Weekend and the Army Run.

During the off season which for us is November and December we do a free group run of 8-10k from Barrhaven Source for Sports on Thursday nights. At K2J Fitness we believe that all you need to get fit is a little motivation and a good pair of shoes.

Negative Splits Run Club

The Negative Splits Run Club are a group of runners ranging from former elite level Track/Marathoners to casual runners. We congregate once a week for a casual run usually followed by little get-together and a quick drink. We are a friendly group and while we started as strangers have all evolved to become a tight knit group of friends who are always there to provide support and encouragement to each other no matter what the current running goals are.

Joining us for a run is as easy as showing up at Sports 4 on Bank St ready for a fun time! Some Coaching options are also available if interested.

Ottawa Athletic Club Racing Team

The Ottawa Athletic Club Racing Team was founded in 1981 as a road racing club. Today it has evolved into a women’s road racing team. The prime focus of the OAC Racing Team continues to be the provision of run coaching, and the group environment for the development of women runners. While a number of the athletes do triathlons and duathlons the club does not provide cycling or swim coaching. To maintain a healthy training environment we only accept women runners whose current performances would fit into the group structure.

We meet every Tuesday, rain, shine or snow at 7:30PM in Dundonald Park. Distance varies weekly but we typically run between 5K – 12K. Run Leads: Kayla Hunt, Nate Nettleton, Ali Campbell.

The “PdP” stands for Place du Portage in Gatineau, Quebec. We are a bunch of public servants who go for lunch time runs Monday to Friday all year long. In the winter, you can find us running along the Rideau Canal but in the summertime, we enjoy the bike paths around Lac Leamy and the bike path towards Alymer in addition to the route along the Canal. All public servants interested in running at lunch are welcome.

Ottawa Running Club

Some friends got together for a run 10 years ago and the ORC was born. Since then, hundreds have been introduced to running, broken personal bests and made new friends as part of Sole Responsibility’s running club. Plus, thousands of dollars have been donated to charitable causes near and far.
