Residents live in three bedroom dwellings. Canada Africa Community Health Alliance (CACHA)

The Canada Africa Community Health Alliance (CACHA) is a non-government organization that seeks to improve the health of rural communities through partnerships to facilitate programs and initiatives for disease prevention, treatment, care, support and education to the most vulnerable in Bénin, Tanzania and Uganda. CACHA was founded in 2001 and has since treated over 200,000 patients, supported more than 900 orphans and vulnerable children and donated over $7.5 million in medical and other supplies.

Canadian Ski Patrol

The Canadian Ski Patrol serves where Canadians play outdoors. Founded in 1941, our 4,500 volunteers provide advanced first aid and rescue services at ski areas in every province and the Yukon. But CSP volunteers don’t stop helping people when they take off their skis and boards. Our volunteers are active off the snow, around the country and throughout the year providing first aid at sporting events, festivals and other community events like Ottawa Race Weekend.

Canadians Sharing Locally and Globally

We connect with some of the most disenfranchised individual, families and small communities in India and in disaster struck areas around the world. In South India we have 9 programs supporting health care and education. Worldwide we provide relief to people trapped in humanitarian disasters like the Syrian Refugee Exodus. We are all volunteers and every dollar donated to our programs results in a dollar being spent in South India or with our worldwide partners.

CNETS Canada

CNETS Canada provides support and education for Canadians on all aspects of Neuroendocrine Tumours (NETs). We help Canadian NET patients seek and obtain personalized diagnostic and therapeutic options. We also advocate on behalf of individual patients and for policies to support NET patients. Trained and screened volunteers meet regularly with their 'core member’, helping with reintegration challenges and challenging problematic behaviour that may lead to reoffending.
