CANCELLATION POLICY

Entry fees are non-refundable. That means that once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate and you will not be able to defer your entry for another year. The Marathon, in accordance with management executives, city officials and local law enforcement has the authority to cancel any of the events for emergency purposes such as, but not limited to, inclement weather or threat of terrorism. If such emergency conditions force cancellation, refunds cannot be provided since funds will have been spent in preparation for Race Day.

EVENT CHANGES/CORRECTIONS

Any changes/corrections must be completed on-line by the registrant. Changing to an event that is already sold out is not permitted. The last date for a registrant to make corrections to their entry is April 30, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. If you have any questions please contact [email protected].

 

TRANSFERS

A transfer is to be used if you can no longer run and you wish to transfer your entry to another person you have found who wants to take your entry. Transfers can be completed up until April 30, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. A transfer can be completed by going to your confirmation email and clicking on the link at the bottom. Here you will need to enter your email and the email of the person you are transferring to and then press continue. The person who is accepting the transfer must press accept, and pay the $15 transfer fee. Once this has been done, they will be able enter their information as the new participant.  Once this is complete and submitted the original participant is deleted from the database and the new participant is now entered into database.

PERSONALIZE YOUR MEDAL

The medals received from Ottawa Race Weekend will be designed to allow you to Personalize your individual medal. A small plate engraved with your name and finish time (finish time only for the kids marathon) that fits neatly into the back of your medal will be a reminder of your commitment and achievement. Your personalized plate will be mailed directly to you within one month of the race weekend. For further information please email [email protected]

WALKERS AND TIME LIMITS

Walkers are welcome in all events. All walkers start their race in the last corral behind the runners.

To register as a walker in either the Scotiabank Ottawa Marathon or Scotiabank Half Marathon races register in the WALK Division for your event.

For those planning to walk any other race, register for your event. When asked to select expected finish time - select the one that includes “Walkers”. Those planning to do a combination of walking and running should not select the Walker Division. Walkers should note the following time limits apply: 10k – 2 Hours, 1/2 Marathon – 4 Hours and Marathon – 7 Hours. These times limits will be strictly enforced and people who do not meet the time limits will be asked to move onto the sidewalk.

 

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend encourages all out of town participants to book their hotel rooms as early as possible as availability may be limited as you get closer to the Race Weekend. Click here to book your accommodations.

 

PASTA DINNER

We host two pasta dinners for our participants, Friday night  at the Ottawa Convention Centre, 55 Colonel By Drive and Saturday night at the Ottawa Marriott Hotel, 100 Kent Street.  Load up on carbs and meet other participants. There is a maximum 600 for each dinner and tickets must be purchased in advance. Note: There are no refunds for Pasta Dinner tickets.
