The following information is from the 2015 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend. It is provided here for reference. Please check back closer to the event date for updated information.

2015 OTTAWA 10K ELITE ATHLETE PRIZES

Note:

  • 10K women: only elite qualify for the prize money due to a separate start (roughly 4 mins ahead of the mass start) for the 10K Gender Competition.
  • For the 10K women masters, athletes should be able to run the 10K under sub 42:00

2015 Ottawa 10K Overall Prize (Male & Female) – US Dollars

  • 1st Place – $8,000
  • 2nd Place – $4,000

Gender Competition Prize – US Dollars

  • The first athlete to cross the finish line, male or female, will win $2,000 USD – (Women start roughly 4 minutes ahead of the mass start)

Record bonus (Male & Female) – US Dollars

A bonus of $2,000 (USD) will be awarded to the winner if they break the existing course records.

2015 OTTAWA WHEELCHAIR MARATHON ELITE PRIZES

Athletics Canada Championship medals will be awarded to the first three Canadian finishers in each event, who are Athletics Canada members. Prize money will be awarded to the Top 3 Canadians who are also Athletics Canada members.  All prize money is provided by the Host Organizing Committee.

For the Wheelchair Marathon Championships:

Notes:

  • Athletes must be using a racing chair (IPC Rule 14)
  • For both divisions, if there are 3 or less athletes, only 1st place will receive prize money.
  • Prize money reduced by 50% if times are slower than 1:50 (men) and 2:00 (women) in the open category and slower than 2:10 (men) and 2:30 (women) in the quad category.
  • Prize money will not be awarded if times are slower than 2:10 (men) and 2:25 (women) in the open category and slower than 2:30 (men) and 2:55 (women) in the quad category.
  • A Time Bonus of $300 bonus for any athletes with times under 1:30 (men) and 1:40 (women)
