The Lung Association is among Canada’s longest standing, most respected not-for-profit health promotion organizations; and is a leader in the prevention and control of chronic lung disease, asthma, tobacco cessation and prevention, and air quality and its effects on lung health. The Association is a registered charity relying on the generosity of donors in order to be able to provide education and support to people living with lung disease in Ontario. The Lung Association has invested more than $27 million into lung health research carried out in Ontario, including research completed by prominent specialists at CHEO. The Association was proud to launch the new “I Love Lungs” Team at the Ottawa Race in 2012, with each team member raising funds and awareness in support of those affected by lung disease.
