Free concert series at Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend

Roch Voisine headlines 3-day concert series; Beau’s joins as Official Race Weekend Brewery

May 1, 2015 (Ottawa) – Ottawa’s largest tourism event, the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend, is pleased to announce the return of its Celebration concert series with Juno award winner Roch Voisine headlining the stage on Saturday, May 23rd. Organizers have also announced that popular local craft brewer Beau’s will be the Exclusive Beer Supplier of the Race Weekend Runners’ Beer Garden Experience.

“If there are two things runners love, it’s their beer and music,” said John Halvorsen, Race Director.

The free 3-day Celebration concert series will also feature some of Canada’s top artists, including Furious Gord and Cuff the Duke. The full lineup is available on www.runottawa.ca.

“We’re very happy to be able to help our runners celebrate their training and running achievements with musical entertainment and a nice cold beer,” said Halvorsen.

“I can’t wait until this year’s Race Weekend,” said Steve Beauchesne, CEO of Beau’s. “Beau’s is proud to be part of such an excellent initiative and the party afterwards promises to be epic.”

The free concerts will be open to the community at large and will take place in the heart of Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend festivities at Ottawa City Hall’s Festival Plaza. Beau’s Brewery will be on location for all three days hosting Race Weekend Runners Beer Garden Experience.

The Celebration stage is supported by Government of Ontario funding.
