Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend has a reputation for being one of the best race events in Canada, and runners all over the country know it, which is why it sells out months in advance.
This year, make your run count for something more than a personal best. When you fundraise for The Ottawa Hospital through Run for a Reason, you can make 2014 a PB for patients who need it the most.
Meet Christina Walker. Christina, who is signed up for the ½ marathon, will be leading the Pancreatic Cancer Canada Purple Team for the fourth year in support of pancreatic cancer research at The Ottawa Hospital.
Christina began running and fundraising for the cause after the deadly disease took the life of her husband, Carl, a military physician, in 2011 only months after he was diagnosed.
Pancreatic cancer research is Christina’s reason. What’s your Reason? To register to run and sign up to fundraise for The Ottawa Hospital, click here.

“The energy and generosity of this community is essential to the success of Run for a Reason,” said Tim Kluke, President and CEO of The Ottawa Hospital Foundation. “It is wonderful to see people lace up to make an impact on our community.”
