May 25, 2010 – Ottawa – The Ottawa Race Weekend invites media to meet select elite athletes, organizers, official charity representatives and other persons of interest:

Location: Food Concessions area of the Pfizer Health and Fitness Expo. Aberdeen Pavilion, Lansdowne Park, 1015 Bank Street

Several elite runners, including Deriba Merga, Eric Gillis, David Cheruiyot, Bazu Worku, Arata Fujiwara, Wodajo Teferi, Lioudmila Kortchaguina, Alemitu Abera, Dire Tune, Emebet Bacha Lencho (list is subject to change)

Rick Ball, one-legged runner who broke the 10K world record in Ottawa last year and is attempting to break his own record of 3:01:50 for a marathon.

Josh Cassidy, Wheelchair Marathon Championship competitor, winner of the 2010 London Marathon

Denny Morrison, gold medallist at the Vancouver Olympics in speed skating, running the 5K to raise funds for Canadian Athletes Fund Now
